Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) Job Definition Job DescriptionSCOPE OF POSITION Ballad Health Medical Equipment Services/Mediserve is the durable medical equipment company wholly owned by Ballad Health.
The Logistics Manager will oversee logistics operations and all other aspects regarding the transportation and delivery of all durable medical equipment to proper recipients throughout the entire health system.
Responsible for recording vehicle maintenance and fuel expenses of vehicles Manage the Medical Service Technician team Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival Prepare items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, and revisions Develop, implement and maintain shipping and receiving procedures Respond to various departments within the organization who may need information regarding distributors, products, and deliveries Strategically plan and manage locations, warehouse, and transportation while providing customer service Utilize knowledge of logistics to keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency Resolve any logistics concerns that may arise as well as complaints Ensure to be readily available for calls concerning team members calling in or for questions about services provided Perform as a fill in Medical Service Technician as needed Perform other duties as assigned REPORTING RELATIONSHIP See Table of Organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associates' degree in Business or related field preferred plus 2 years' experience in logistics - preferably in Durable Medical Equipment setting.
-Or- High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years' experience in logistics - preferably in Durable Medical Equipment setting.
