Paradise Acres Family Farm Park Paradise Acres Family Farm Park Johnson City, TN Johnson City, TN Part-time Part-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago The Farm Project Manager will be responsible for the execution & supervision of Construction, Maintenance, Groundskeeping & (some) Farming projects.
The responsibilities of this position will encompass regular day-to-day projects/maintenance/upkeep as well as special one-time projects.
The goal of this position will be to keep as much maintenance & as many projects in-house as possible.
These projects/maintenance are to be approached in such a way that utilizes the least amount of time, money & personnel resources without sacrificing safety, well-being or quality.
In cases where a job must be outsourced, the project manager may play a key role in advising to make sure the outside contractor provides both quality & the best value to Paradise Acres.
This position will report directly to the owners, Laressa and Eric McCarty.
SPECIAL PROJECTS Consult & plan with Eric & Laressa to prioritize & budget for projects/upkeep/general maintenance Plan for additional personnel that will be required for a project, giving realistic consideration to how much man-power will be necessary, balanced with the need to keep project costs as low as possible, without sacrificing quality To the best of your/our ability, pre-plan projects but also be flexible to stop a project to deal with a maintenance emergency or begin a new project that has become an urgent need GROUNDSKEEPING Provide direct supervision for other groundskeeping personnel alongside Laressa & Eric and other Managers Mowing & Bush hogging regularly, as needed To the best of your ability, make sure the property remains free from any pests, plants, trash that may be harmful or unsightly to the public Plan & Supervise regular & special weedeating & land clearing projects MAINTENANCE Develop a schedule and written processes/documentation for routine maintenance tasks.
Execute routine maintenance on equipment and facilities.
Supervise & participate in regular upkeep of the Mini-Golf Courses & Water Features Identify and mitigate customer and worker safety risks.
FARMING Occasional direct participation in farming tasks such as plowing, weeding, and harvesting Occasional supervision of such activities OTHER Drive Hayrides for guests and train other managers/personnel to drive Hayrides as necessary Learn to run/facilitate simple offerings such as Ball Cannon or Gem Mine so you are able to help with routine activities as necessary Assist with planning, set up, parking, etc for weekends, special & large group events DETAILS & BENEFITS This is a mostly seasonal position.
The bulk of the work will be done from March through November.
We may have special projects December through February, but we cannot guarantee work during this period.
This is a part-time position with an average maximum of 30 hours per week.
Work hours are flexible.
Some tasks, such as mowing, will need to be done in the morning while there are no customers on the property.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
